Very interesting and informative.
When I had mine back in the early days (1960's) I found them a very calm and quiet breed which I kept in the same lofts as birds much less than half their size. |

Wow, So they only come in 2 colours. I hope i dont get them mixed up im pretty sure you said yellow/light red where the cocks and dark red where the hens? Now just for me to remember this for aslong as i live.

There is only one UK breeder, they brought the birds over from America a few weeks ago... I find the auto sexing factor in then fascinating, they're such an attractive breed.

does anyone have any pioneer birds for sale? I have one pair but would like another pair so they are not related. Prefer non recessive red only because i already have the recessive red pair.
