MacMilk - Crop Milk Substitute


Here is the recipe for MacMilk .. works very well for pigeons and doves.

Great information Terry. Especially the notes about the digestive enzymes. That is an issue most people would not consider when doing feedings or mixing up batches of formula. I am glad to see others are using strained baby food in their mixes. It puts my mind at rest about the times I used it for my tube-feed situations.

It sounds like this formula is much more suitable for pigeons and doves.
Pigeon milk is considered one of the most nutritional substances on the planet; we must feed our squabs accordingly.

Oh my, thank you so much! I just joined & was delighted to find this. Though I don't have doves or pigeons atm, it wouldn't be the first time I'd have to raise one in a pinch, & they're such delightful birds!
