I found this while surfing the net. As I (and alot of other newbies have asked and found out) is that I cannot release my birds as they come from another home and would return there. Until I can start training my own chicks.

Does anybody know how do these racers return to Sun City if their owners come from all over the world? Would be nice to get an answer.... hopefully somebody here has entered the Million Dollar race

What happens in these races is that fanciers from around the world can send their youngsters to a given location. They pay a fee to enter and part of that can go towards feed and other supplies. These are young birds that have not been flown by their owners. The loft manager at the collection point loft, trains all the birds together. They grow up thinking this is their home loft. When the day of the race comes, the birds are released to return to the collection point loft.

There are some variations to this but this is the basics.
