Banded Birds

I have three banded birds (one was killed in an accident) and they were found at a rest area in Coeur d' Alene, ID, on Thursday or Friday. I have them now and am trying to get a hold of their owner, but the phone number isn't working.
The band information is as follows:

Alex Katoozian
Iran Tehran Tumbler
WC CA 510-680-1973

That number didn't work and the internet gives 925-945-8877, also in what I'm sure is Walnut Creek, CA. But that number just rings (the guy's probably still out of town)

I'd like to catch the guy before he gets too far back toward CA and I'm going out of town Tuesday and can't really work this past that day. I'm hoping maybe someone in this area is at or knows about a pigeon show that may be where this Alex Katoozian is this weekend and we can get in touch.

My phone numbers are: 509.599.6760 cell (call first) and 509.323.8647 home. Please respond to this message by calling as I will be at work all day and can't get email til I get home at 6:00. I'd like to be able to make relevant calls on this while at work if possible.

Thanks
Stacey

Hi Stacey and welcome! Thank you so much for trying to help these pigeons get home. It may be that the owner sold these birds to someone in your area or that he shipped them there to be released for a race.

I'm going to forward your post to the 911 Pigeon Alert (lost and found pigeons) list to see if they can help us out here.

Please continue to keep and care for the birds until we can work something out.

Thanks again!

Terry

Hi Stacey,

Here is a contact that should be in your area. This is from the 911 Pigeon Alert list:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have a customer in Idaho Falls that would probably be willing to care for the birds, and ship to the owner if necessary. He has numerous breeds of performance and fancy show pigeons.
His name is Max Rose.
208-552-1454
208-390-4126 Cell
If all contacts fail we will be happy to provide a lifetime home for the birds here at the Center.
