box perches

I'm going to change my perches in my young bird loft to box perches and was unsure what the dimensions should be.

I make mine large enough for a nest bowl. So get a nest bowl and measure it, and then add maybe an extra 1/2 of an inch or so, and you have a good size. Course if you have enough room, you can make them even bigger. I try to have in excess of 2 for every bird.

The open spaces in my box perches are 10 inches. If you haven't seen my perches, look for them in the loft pictures thread.
