box perchesI'm going to change my perches in my young bird loft to box perches and was unsure what the dimensions should be.

I make mine large enough for a nest bowl. So get a nest bowl and measure it, and then add maybe an extra 1/2 of an inch or so, and you have a good size. Course if you have enough room, you can make them even bigger. I try to have in excess of 2 for every bird.

I am assuming then it is 12"x12"x12" as minimum?

The open spaces in my box perches are 10 inches. If you haven't seen my perches, look for them in the loft pictures thread.

I wouldn't know.......to cold for me to go fishing. I am a fair weather fisherman.
