can someone explain to me how to setup the unikon champ so i can use it to train my birds?

One guy was saying that I have to get the club secutary to log all my info in to there system first before I canutilize my system for training. Is that is the case?

Welcome!

I use the standard Unikon Clocking System and am the Race Sec for my club, so I would be glad to help you out.

First, you will need to take your unikon bands, your modular to the race sec along with your list of birds band numbers, color, sex.

Next, he/she will add your birds into the Unikon Main Data Base and transfer that information to your modular.

Then, while your modular is on, he/she will type in the last 4 digits of your birds band numbers on the Main Race Clock, allowing him/her to assign the elec. bands. (You will here 2 rapid beeps indicating it took)

Lastly, put those assigned elec. bands in seperate baggie's (I use zip locks) with the band info written on the outside of it and once you get home, place those elec. bands on your birds.

All you have to do from here to use your clock for training flights is simply turn it on. Make sure any previous recordings have been deleated.

I hope I didnt loose ya, but your Race Sec will know exactly what to do.

Your race secretary is the MVP in the club... so treat him as such.
He/she should be able to program your Unikon bands for you and put them on your module. And also give you a simple demo on how to use your clock.
