help with squab

i have a week old baby and it jst doesnt look right hes very dopey looking really dark around the eyes is it possible hes a bit retarded

did he have full crop.. sometimes they are just full and want to relax.. but a pic would be good.

hi i decided to put him down there was deffinitly something not right with him not taking any chances

Dirty birds have dark skin, which is probably why it was dark around the eyes. Plus their eyes just look dark in the sockets anyway.

Oh man, I did see your post last night and wanted to reply, then noticed that SouthTown Racer had requested for a picture, so thought would reply after having a look at the picture.

What I had in mind was that I had several babies of age 7-10 days who do nothing but just sit and droop and once grown up I have seen how they fight off with other birds in their favorite perches and boo and coo to the females, no matter what droopy they were at that age.

Would that post made any difference to your decision ?
