how long does it take for a pigeon to learn to trap?


so. i just started taking care of pigeons and they only come home when it's time to eat. so i decided to build a trapdoor and started training them. how long does it take for them to learn? thanks.

In a few days they should start trapping if one goes in the rest will follow.

if they smart bird they can be easily be trap train. the dull need catching and push it to the trap door for several days.

and it also depend on the trap door you are using if they user friendly or not.

for me i prefer sputnik trap and belgian trap

I have a cage to put out side the trap so they will learn to use it, and then only let them out hungry so when you call they will trap in.

Smart birds only need to go through once to learn. The important thing is to get them used to a feed call. I trap train mine for a week just to get them really comfortable with it.

I Can usually train birds to trap in three days minimum
