If you use a whistle or shake a can to call them, you might walk around the neighborhood and try calling them. The neighbors might think you've gone crazy, but, what the heck if it works?? LOL Unfortunately, once a pigeon is out of the loft, it's out of your control. Hopefully they will return home in a little while, especially if you let them out hungry. Just keep an eye out for them.

depending on age and how far they flew Makes a difference. If they are pretty young and scattered you have to hope they make it back. You should release young birds not wing strong at a time you can keep an eye out for them.and be sure they are indeed hungry enough to be called back in. A hawk willl frighten the birds enough to scatter them. Ones that have there bearings will make it back others that have not builtup there flight and homing location will wonder and get lost. I would suggest you work on there trapping and feeding to insure you control them better when they are released. Because hawks today are here to stay. And hawk season A person has to out smart the hawk in order to keep the birds flying. And still you lose one now and agin. Good luck in the future.

come home pigeons

me to was on that same page by asking pigeon keepers questions i learnd its eather that they notice something different in the area and there just investigating, another suggestion was make a routine what time to fly them, get them use to the time you will be letting them out but make sure you fly them with empty stomach, so that as soon as they here you shake the can of food they will know what time it is, and they will fly in fast...... it workt for me.........
