Yes, keep this poor bird in for at least 3 days, and let him eat as much as he wants to for at least one more day. You have no idea where he's been, what he's been through and he needs to rest. After a few days he'll be back to his old self. Just don't push him. He'll tell you when he's ready to get out and fly again. Glad he made it home. They are amazing little creatures for sure.

OK, thanks, I will keep him in tomorow - he will get plenty food and rest. After that should I let him fly every 2nd day or so?
His folks are on eggs I hope to train this one well so when he gets some chums he can train them. I presume it goes a lot quicker if they have some mates to fly with who can show them the ropes |
