Pigeon Band???

I'm not new to raising pigeons, I use to raise them 4-5 years ago just for fun but this year will be different, I am serious about going into depth for this hobby and I will need ya to help me out. Anyways I have about 30 nice looking Homers, majority are already pair and ya know is mating season now. Most of my pigeons are banded, but the newcomers(baby pigeon) will not. How do I go about getting bands and register them? Do I supposed to register with a pigeon club in order to buy bands or can I just buy the bands and put it on? I don't know how this all suppose to go like but if anybody can give me details, that would be GREAT!!!

When you say will not do you mean you will not band them but sounds like you want them to be banded when you ask where to get some pigeon bands...

If you're a member of AU or IF, you can purchase their bands and put them to your new babies...Or you can buy the bands from some other pigeon store who sells pigeon bands...

You can buy bands from a local club, one of the organization's websites, or a pigeon supply store. If you buy them directly from the organization or a store, they'll keep records of who the bands were sold to, so those birds will always be traced back to you. If you get them from a club, they too should keep everyone on record who buys bands. That's really the only 'registering' process there is with pigeons.

If you're going to race, you'll need to join a local club. Also with joining that club, you'd have to join the organization they're affiliated with. However, if you're just buying bands, you don't have to be a member of anything (example: you don't have to be an AU member to buy and band your birds with their bands)

Like Becky said, you can buy bands for your birds without being part of an organization. All you need is money!...Lol. Any bands you purchase from a store or bands you get from a local pigeon club are registered through the AU. This allows your birds to be traced back to you if they get lost and end up in someone elses loft. You can also get personalized bands that include your name, number, and address. I purchased some for my birds and it'll help who ever finds them contact me direct. But these personalized bands will not qualify you to participate in a club race you need the AU bands for that.
