Does it cost more to race AU birds in an IF race?

No. You can race both bands in both races for the same amount of money However, when it comes to AU national awards, they only accept AU bands, if I remember right. IF national awards are given to both bands. Or maybe it is the other way around.....I can't remember right now.
But as far as the actual races go, and local diplomas and such, it doesn't matter which you band with (unless for some reason you club, combine, one loft, etc requires a certain band...which I think is stupid ).

Edit: Yeah now that I think about it, I think IF accepts only IF, and AU accepts both for their national awards.

This has come up before, about IF or AU bands in my club. So I had to call the AU and get it straight. If the bird has an AU or IF band and its a YB, the AU will except it. If the bird has a IF band and you fly it as an OB, then the AU requires you to make a $1 "donation" for each IF banded bird that you race durring the season. I am not sure if the IF banded bird will actually qualify for any Natl. Awards though but you should beable to get club/combine diploma's for that bird.

A $1 donation? So if a club or combine is affiliated with AU, and they race IF OBs, then they have to donate?
Our combine is with the IF I think, but we supposedly fly AU rules. It's weird Maybe our combine is AU afterall, but I've never had to pay anything extra.
