hi! im new to the forum and notice that many people on here only posts designs and pictures of lofts, nest ect. how about this thread going into a differnt subject! you racers out there what are some tips for new people in this sport? please post what how you handle birds on race days, to how your birds diet is effective, and so on! im new so i dont know to much. heres what i do! feeding stradigies-feed once a day in the summer for racers. but in winter i give them an exceed amount of food. what i feed are pellets and let them drink supplemented water for my breeders. then in the summer i tend to buy some race mix from my local shop for my young birds! planning to go with a different mix this year thanks to a guy i just met! i feed once a day! i also put in grit for there likings! training- well i had to start over so i just got breeders right now. well i live in the twin cities. back when i havent moved yet i wold go to wisconsin alot and bring my birds along. dont know the exact mileage. each time a little farther than the pervious. that was then though. now im planning to loft fly alot this spring. and on weekends road train. other than that i dont know what else to do! please advise if im doing something wrong! thanks! and please post up your idea(s)! also looking to built a 8 by 12 loft too! budget? well not too sure. my dad is going to pay hopefully. lets say $800-900 tops! thanks!
