Second Toss

I turned the birds out in the same place as the first toss and it took them quite a bit longer to get home. The first toss was at about 5 miles and they were home in about 10 min.. This toss, it took them about 31 min. to get home. Maby they were just enjoying the scenery. I guess they were tripping and not worrying about how to get home because they had been there before. A good day and my wife was tickeled pink when the birds showed up. She was worrying that they might get lost. LOL.

Yep, that's what they were doing. At least you know they want to fly. Did the tree sitter go too??

I kept the tree setter home. He is about three weeks younger than the other birds and my wife told me if I lost that bird, I would be in trouble. So to stay out of trouble, I let him stay in the loft. LOL

OH!!, well, I don't blame her a bit. Good call. I don't recall knowing that the tree sitter was a younger bird. Maybe THAT'S why he's sitting in a tree. Maybe he'll come around after a while.

The young bird is the dark one with the white on it its face and several flight feathers are white. I guess you would call it a splash?

Ohhh he's pretty I have a weak spot for splashes and white flights though, lol. It's got enough white to where I'd call him a splash instead of pied (even though it's basically the same thing?)
