Squeakers trying to mate

Today I saw two of my 08 squeakers feeding each other and one kept squatting down but they never did mate. Odd behavior or what?

Nope, at a month or older they will play all kinds of games, and will "roll" play in their mating games. It's quite normal behavior, though it seems odd. They are teenagers trying to grow up, also they are learning to interact with each other.

If you see any one of them consistently taking on the male "roll" they may be boys!

My first two little red birds this year, which are both cocks by the way, have kissed and acted silly from the time they were weaned. They are together all the time, have tried mating.....each had HIS turn on top
In another couple of months, they'll discover the "ladies" and all of that will fall by the wayside. Silly little buggers.

Bern and Buddy's baby, who I'm calling Rocky for some reason , wants to kiss everyone all the time. Toto is in that teenaged "you can't tell ME what to do!!" stage and not having any of it. But Bern will sit and let Rocky preen him and kiss him, and looked a little TOO interested the other night, ahem. I think Rocky is a girl, by the way. I swear, Bernadette has absolutely no scruples at all.
