What is the single most important grain??

For me it is a toss up between peanuts or safflower. I think that safflower is probably the one best all around seeds and can probably give the pigeon the most benifit of any seed. On the other hand peanuts can be great for training, motivation, and building protein and fat for longer races. They are also great for getting a pigeon back into shape after coming home skinny. What do you think?

Safflower is definitely a positive seed added to my feed. I get it from a guy about 40 miles away. It will grow babies quite well. Yes it is also a great motivator. I would say that three grains would be first on my list. Barley, Safflower and Corn. Another way to look at is would be that variety is the best seed in the bag.
