My name is Jeffrey I am 42 and I live in Jackson , MI , I raise white pigeons as my favorite hobby . I have been working on starting my own pigeon release business. My two daughters Crystal , 24 , and Phylicia , 17, were going to help me in the bussiness . But just recently on september 16th2005, Crystal died of heart , and thyroid complications after having her appendix taken out. At her burial , on September 20th 2005, I hired another person in Jackson to release white pigeons only because mine werent trained at that point. As certain family members released a dove at the same time , one flew in its own direction . We all talked about it and noticed it very clearly . Well , on this past sunday , october 16th 2005 one month after her passing, I was watching football in my livingroom and I have my pigeon loft in my back yard that I recently built in august , with Crystal and the family together, my wife noticed a white pigeon on my loft with a band on its ankle , so she told me and I got up to look. I noticed it wasnt mine so I went out and pushed it into the loft where all the birds go in when they are out. I read the band and it had the mans name and number that released the birds at Crystals burial. I found this very bone chilling so I Called the man and informed him of what had happened and he said that he would swing by to pick it up the next day. When he came to pick it up , He noticed from the band number that it was the same bird that had went its own way at the burial , and then told me that it had never returned to his house. Remind you this bird has never been to my house. So he handed me the bird and said keep it it means more to you now than me . I wanted to share this story and say that miracles and signs after death DO happen !

Hi Jeffrey,
I send my heartfelt sympathies as well to you and your family over the tragic loss of your daughter, Crystal ![]() This story is very remarkable, incredible and surely a sign that your daughter is watching over you. I'm glad the man let you keep this white pigeon, and good luck with your future business of white dove releasing. We have another member here, WhitewingsCa and she could probably be of assistance to you if you are interested. Take care. P.S- for some reason your post was on "Moderation" so you might have thought it wasn't posted or would be, sorry that it took some time for it to be authorized. I'm not even sure why it went into the moderation queue, sorry about that. |

I, too, add my condolenceson the loss of your beloved daughter.
Your dove story is most heartwarming. Truly, the"spirit" (soul) lives on after death - to me, your dove has proven that. |
