Super Powered Pijies #7Dinkster knew that he had only minutes at best to finish the job, and get out of there sharpish. The good news was that he was almost finished mixing the salt and the sugar, and Hali was just finishing taking every other sock out of the laundry and burying them in the garden. Bright eyes had just finished taking half of the families DVDs out of their cases, and putting them back in the wrong ones.
That was the good news. The bad news was that he was having to spend a goodly portion of his time stopping Doodles from 'Doodling' beards and glasses on the family photographs. Well where do you think he got the name from anyway? Being annoying is one thing, but wilfull damage is a whole nother story. Some things can be taken too far, but Doodles was young, and he hadn't quite learned the limit yet. As a result Dinkster was double jobbing it. Gertrude was not too much help, as he was busy sawing halfway through each and every shoelace he could find, so that the owner would snap them when they tried to tie them...and have you ever tried to find a matching shoelace when you needed one? 'Ok Guys, lets wrap it up, we are finished here'. 'WHAT!? I'm just getting started' screamed Doodles, as he changed his pen from red to black. 'We don't have time, If we stay we'll be caught, and our Humans will be in major trouble. Pijie Haters have things called 'Lawyers'. 'What's a Law-e-your?' said gertrude, mangling the unfamiliar word. 'I think it means "Cockroach", or something like that'. 'Oh, you mean a Solicitor. We have them too. Some of them hired Doodles and me to give nastiness lessons. I never had a problem with them.' 'Yeah, well here we do. Our Humans hate them worse the lice.' 'Ever tried a couple of well timed wingslaps? I find it works wonders in a legal arguement.' 'Won't work, Although I'd love to try it sometime......ANYWAY, we need to be out of here now.' Hali, and Bright Eyes didn't need to be told twice, they dropped everything that they were doing, and flew straight back to the squirrel hut. 'I'm not finished yet.' Protested Doodles, as only a teenage Pijie could. Squeeks nodded to Dinkster, each took a wing, and carried Doodles out of the house. Gertrude followed behiend to lock the door. It was then that the cat decided to come back to it's senses...... Squeeks, and Dinkster learned the important lesson of letting Doodles guard a cat. - In short, Don't! Doodles, like most adolesents is great at starting a job, but bloody terrible at boring details. Like making strong knots.....In a heartbeat Tiddles was free. And Angry, he had been bested by a Pijie. He could feel thousands of generations of kitty anscestors screeming for revenge from beyond the grave. Dinkster, and Squeeks were busy trying to frogmarch Doodles out and he was trying to sign his name on everything within reach of his ever moving pen. And Gertrude had is back turned. What happened next occured so fast, that I'm going to have to use 'Stop Motion Prose' in order to describe it. Tiddles saw Gertrude, Gertrude didn't see Tiddles. *Reader beware, scary part comming up* Tiddles sprang at Gertrude. And hit him with all four paws, and a set of teeth....Well it looked like that anyway. Dinkster, and Squeeks dropped Doodles, and the three birds swarmed back into the house beaks at the ready. They need not have bothered. Gertrude had sensed the danger, and was already rolling when Tiddles passed right through the space that Gertrude's body had occupied only a split second before. As a result, paws, claws, and teeth met empty air. Oh, and the shock mussed up Gertrude's feathers. He does not like that. Gertrude stood up slowly, puffing up, and shaking, he rearranged his feathers. He was once again satisfied that his feathers were pristine, now to business..... Bright Eyes was on his way back, and because he was looking at Gertrude when he evoked his power, it appeard that Gertrude was standing in the center of a spotlight. In perfect position to highlight his second most effective tallent. His 'Bold Face'. (Like the drawing of Garye) Gertrude's 'Bold Face' has been known to stop a charging Rhino, and make it climb the nearest tree whimpering like a new born squab. But that depends on the Rhino being somewhat sane. Tiddles was most deffinatly not. Tiddles got up, shook himself off, drew a deep breath, and tried a second time to eat that darn Pijie. Gerturde has many bands. He dosn't wear them all of the time, to tell you the truth, if he was too, he'd need bigger legs. He has a 'Black Band' *Blatent plagerism coming up* in; Oki-Doki (The ability to toss a seed through a solid core oak door..while achieving 'oneness' with the universe and all of creation. But it's mostly to toss the seed) Upsi-Daisy (PMV related, If you don't know where you are going to end up, how can your opponent. As a result how can they hurt you?) Deja-Fu (the feeling that your opponent gets when knowing he's about to be beaten up Again. Most owners get it, just prior to putting a Pij to bed at night) And Wing-Fu (yes, The Way Of the Pijie) Gertrude didn't have an easy way out. The cat was between him and the door. In a second, Gertrude hunkered down, revealing that although he waddled like a duck, and had a tendency to stop and peck anything that even looked edable, he was composed of 90% pure muscle. Almost as if someone took an Ostrich, and condensed it.

Alvin,
You have awaken a feeling in me that I have not experienced in along time. It is pretty close to waking up on Easter Morning and running in to see what the Easter Bunny has left me. That is what I do bright and early every morning, checking to see if your next episode has been posted. I just can't thank you enough for sharing your remarkable talent with us. Feather |

I say, Pete, which lucky Pij was passed the sword??? Gertrude? GREAT PICTURE!!
Alvin, nice going, as always! Love the name Tiddles (where DID you get that name?). That cat will be a basket case by the time Gertrude and Squeaks get through with him. AND, his owners will never understand why their 'tough' macho kitty runs and hides at the sight of a pigeon!! (Psst, Alvin, clear your PMs. You have hit the limit and need to clean house...) ![]() |

Alvin, another cliff hanger but I know Gertrude will show Tiddles who is boss. This just gets better and better.
PS - Tell Tater and Mary Lou that we moved their dining room pals out to the aviary this morning so they'll know where to go to when they come home.

It is funny these stories. I can almost picture them doing the acts. A pose like the drawing of Garye? Man, that's mean!

Alvin,
Well...here is the cover for your new book. Victor, if you please, would you show me how to make this picture my desk-top. Maggie, I guess we all know who that little bird is. Shi, To answer your question is which Super Pigeon wears a cape? Pete, There is something magical about that picture. It is as though we are in the presence of sovereigness. I felt bad leaving anyone out so now all the Super Pijies have a Jedi alter ego if needed in any of Alvin's plots.

Thanks, Pete! I see Bright Eyes is among the group!
One thing about the Super Power Pijies - they have many powers that they can call upon To many, these powers and abilities will seem farfetched, but ALL SPP believe in their core code: NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, ONLY UNKNOWN! |

Victor,
If you would let Tooter stay out after his cerfew, he would be up there. I know that you are afraid that something will happen to him and he won't come home, but this is just a story, and Alvin would never keep Tooter from you ever, ever, again. However, Tooter would never send his men on a dangerous mission without watching over them in spirit, so if you will go back to Pete's "Newby Pics" thread, go to page 20, scroll down to post 293, and then scroll to picture 5, you will see your son Tooter, illuminated in spirit form watching over his men. Feather and Alvin~
Just because I posted in chapter one:..."Tooter has a curfew super hero or not " doesn't mean I enforce it. I merely "suggest" it. After all, there are sacrifices a father must do. Right? By the way, Tooter learned from me: It is sometimes better to ask for forgiveness than for permission." |

Well maybe it is a good thing that you give him a curfew. Because then we would have not had an excuse to use that majestic looking pigeon, definitely a guardian in a spirit form.
And of coarse it has been an understanding that after Tooter was shot that you taught him everything you knew. What other pigeon has been to battle with a hawk, and sent it flying in the other direction. Feather Don't forget we're related! |
