Super Powered Pijies #9

Oh, Lord, thought Tooter, this is hard work. There has to be an easier way of inflating my decoy. Tooter did a double take, and screamed;
'MY BUM ISN'T THAT BIG!!!!!!!!'

Yes, he and Dinkster were going to have some 'Words' about the design of Tooter's alter ego...However, posterior dimensions aside, Tooter had bigger problems to deal with. No matter how fast he jumped on the foot pump, the dummy was not getting any bigger. A quick look at the underside later, and Tooter saw that it has managed to snag itself on the one sharp seed in his bowl.

Tooter had a puncture.

He knew that he had to get out of there fast, but what about Victor? He'd be heart broken if he came in and saw Tooter's cage empty.....For once Tooter was torn between his love for his Dad, and his responcibility to his fellow Pijies.
Thank God for Barbie Blue Bar...

'Tooter! What the heck are you doing? I'm trying to sleep over here.'
'I have to get out of here, but I can't figure out how to plug this hole. I need something soft, wet, sticky, and airtight...Where the heck am I going to get something like that in this darn cage....'
'Aww Pijie Poop!!! - Just keep it down OK? - You'll wake Victor and Beverley.'
Tooter sat on the foot pump dejectedly. Then something struck him...

'What did you just say?'
'what?' asked Barbie'
'Just now, what did you just say?' said Tooter locating the puncture in the inflatable pijie.
'What? You'll wake up Beverley and Victor?'
'No, before that.'
'Eh...Pijie....poop?'
'Barbie. - You are a genius!'
A few seconds later, the puncture was fixed, and Tooter was back at the pump. In a couple of minutes, Tooter was finding it very crowded in his cage.
Luckly Tooter wasn't hanging around. He made for the bus for the second time that night....

Meanwhile back at the ranch so to speak......

Tater was setting up the big finish. Mary Lou was wondering what the heck they were going to do next. She knew that as soon as the music died, and the dancing stopped the spell was broken. At least until the next routine started.

Down below, Doodles was being held by Dinkster, Hali, and Bright eyes. He was not a happy Pijie because a Tiddles was getting away with trying to eat Gertrude and getting nothing more then a good nights sleep for it. One could say that his sense of justice was offended.
He needn't have worried.

Gertrude reached under his wing, and took out a mini electric razor. He beckoned Doodles over, and a couple of furious seconds of whispering and pointing later, Doodles stalked towards Tiddles with a particularly evil look in his eye.

'Ok, Let's go'. Said Gertrude.
'What about Doodles?' Asked Dinkster
'He'll join us in a minute or so. Right now, we have to get out of here.'
'Tooter!?' 'Where are you?' screamed dinkster down the radio.

'On the way. I'll pick you up in the same place I dropped you off'.
'Sure thing Boss'.

The Pijies made their way around to the front of the house. Just as Tater and Mary Lou finished their routine.

Officer Murphy agreed with Officer Murphy, that they would not include what appeared to be dancing pigeons in ther report, and get back to the job in hand. They went up to the front door, and rang the bell..

While they were busy looking through the front windows, Doodles joined the rest of the group out front and waited for Tooter to collect them.
'Er...Doodles?' Asked Dinkster.....'What exactly were you up to back there?'
Doodles looked at Gertrude.
'Don't look at me, he asked you.' Said Gertrude.
'I shaved "I-heart-pijies" down each side of Tiddles....I kept some of the fur if you want it?'
'No thanks..'Said Dinkster.

It was then that the SPP's noticed two things.
1. They had increased their number by one PIjie. With a video camera.
2. Tooter had arived in Victor's bus.

Unfortunatly smoe total plank had parked a Police car in that very same spot...........

Ah yes, I save the best for last...before bed (a.k.a. my "bedtime story!")...

ooooo, that Tiddles is gonna be sooooo mad...well, when one messes with one or more of the SPP...ya get your just desserts!

I want to see what happens when the OWNERS come home!

Now, the solution to the "puncture" was sheer genius! Clever pij!

See you at the next episode...

Sleep tight and know you are well guarded ....

The place you are looking at is called Two Rivers State Park, in Venice,Nebraska. The bus is a 1982 Chevrolet 6.5 diesel former 23 passenger bus that Coolpigeon's mom Lisa (my daughter) rode in when she was younger than he is now! We were lucky to find old #657.We bought it from the district for a fair price several years ago and used it for our now defunct skating group that I ran for 9 years. We are now converting it to a camper bus...and yes, the yellow has to go!

The boy next to Coolpigeon (Alex) is my other grandson, Nick, and the little one Alex is holding is Sabastian, one of our three small dogs that we have.

The bus actually did house our pigeons at night until about a month ago when my other daughter Melissa moved out, and are now in the "pigeon room" at night. We had a long piece of wood on top of the student seats where the cages rested at night. Our loft is currently under construction.

It has been a very functional bus...and it's long life now has a very special purpose with... Tooter and the Super Pijies!

Victor,

Thank you for introducing us to two other family members.

Well now, that bus is awesome, but this nosy member thinks that you have to leave it the color it is. What other color can you paint a school bus?

If you want to paint the bus, paint it the same color.

Come on nosy members, what do you think?

Obviously, school buses are traditionally YELLOW.

However, there is also white for purity...green...healing....blue...peaceful...purple...royalty

OR, how about a lil PINK bus???

Of course, there is also RED...quite the power color!

Any color is fine with me. For ONCE, I'm ambivalent (a FIRST for me on this site???!!! )

I would be satisfied keeping it schoolbus yellow, but the school bus conversion site I have been reading stated that certain procedure must be legally done to a former school bus :

The stop arm must be removed.Done

The SCHOOL BUS signage removed or covered. Done

The student amber and red lens warning system deactivated. Done and eventually covered.

The color changed.

We are leaning towards white with black trim and black rims.

We have not gotten in trouble yet.

Victor, its nice to meet Nick and Sabastian. I have gone back and looked at this picture several times because the hawkmaster is just so cute leaning into Nick. I'd blow this picture up and put it on the wall.

Any more grandkids we've yet to meet. You are a lucky man and I'll bet you know it.

How about ALL of them?? LOL...I'm know I'm dating myself here, but thinking about all these different colors and a school bus made me think of the "psychedelic" bus of many colors that the Partridge Family had!

Hey, Linda...I LIKE your STYLE...good idea! I REMEMBER psychedelic! No wonder I couldn't make up my mind...the RIGHT answer hadn't come along! PERFECT example of: "when in doubt, WAIT!"

The bus could be painted how Victor wanted, but, when used by the SPPs, the color changes to ALL of 'em (called the Bus of Many Colors??? ) Part of the "clouding of minds"...
