found a home for Fred

I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice and concern for Fred. He is the pigeon I found outside of my work this past Saturday. Coming here reaffirmed that I was doing the right thing taking him in. Many people I know thought I was being foolish. It makes me sad to know that helping an animal in need makes you a fool in some people's eyes. It warms my heart to meet the caring people I have met here. Thank you all for your advice and well wishes.
A friend of mine and her daughter came out and met Fred. They came by the next day and took him home. I will be checking up on him though to make sure he's got a good home (cage) and that he is happy. If for any reason it doesn't work out, I will take him back. My fiancee and I both admit we do miss him even for the short time we had him.
Anyhow, I will visit back for advice for Fred, and to let you all know how he likes his new home. Thank you again.

I'm Glad to hear Fred has a new home, and am glad you will keep an eye on him.

Don't ever doubt your instincts, they serve you well. Helping our fellow creatures is something that should come natural to us all, as God created them for us to help as well as enjoy. Those that don't help, are just denying a part God's plan.

Thank you for helping Fred and for the update.

Thumbs up

I, too, am especially delighted to hear the good news about Fred!

The name "Fred" is very special to me because it was the name of my father, brother and a beloved cat!

Wishing Fred all the best in his new home.

Squeaks and I will look forward to positive updates!!

Shi

Holliebear,
Don't you ever feel bad or silly about being compassionate. Wish more people were like you and all of the other wonderful people on this site. Maybe there'd be less wars, death, sadness in this old world.
