found a pigeon-west virginia

Help anyone---We found a pigeon this morning with a band-ID #IPB-R19613
It is safe in our garage with food and water(we have goats so we have grain)
I tried calling Foy's-no answer today. A lady I talked to said it is not a racer, but a fancy bird. What can we do now????

Hi Lindy! Welcome to Pigeon-Talk and thank you for assisting this pigeon. If you would report it to us on 911 Pigeon Alert, that will make it a bit easier to assist you in tracking down the owner. Here is a link: http://www.teranetsystems.com/911PAContact/

There should also be a year on the band, and that will be needed in order to trace the band.

Please just continue to keep the bird safely confined with food and water available. It will likely be Monday before we can get a response from Foy's.

Terry
