Hi Breeze and welcome to Pigeon-Talk! Thank you for assisting this baby pigeon. If you are feeding it real milk (as in cow's milk), please stop as the bird cannot get any nutrition from the milk. It needs to be put on a baby bird formula such as Kaytee Exact.

If the baby is only 5 days old, it would be mostly yellow fuzz and no real feathers. I'll post a link in a minute that has pictures of baby pigeons at various ages. Hopefully you can get a good idea of the age by looking at the pictures.

Any chance you can post a picture of the baby?

In general terms, where are you located? It helps to know where you are in case we need to assist you in finding food, supplies, or veterinary or rehabber help.

Please don't give the baby any more milk. They don't digest dairy products. Can you post a picture by any chance? Please read this link.

Can you tell us where you are? We may have a member near you that can help.

Okay .. here's the link to the baby pigeon pictures: http://www.speedpigeon.com/baby_racing_pigeon.htm

Incidentally, I created a new thread for you .. it will be easier for our members to assist you than having your posts mixed in with an old thread.

good news and bad news i'm afraid. the younger pigeon died, but the older 1 that fell out of the tree a while ago has finally fledged.

more good news i forgot to mention. my baby blackbird fledged quite recently so that's quite good news. unfortunately, in our area there are a lot of cats. the poor birds don't really have much chance. the older pigeon just fell out of the nest and had to be taken because he was in a dangerous position and the parents did not return to him. the blackbird was in the same boat.my latest little pigeon fell out of the tree and both her and her brother were brought into the house and dropped in front of my mom before my younger cat escaped and sadly ate the other one.

Hi Breeze, and welcome. I'm sorry the baby didn't make it. We have plenty of members in the UK, and actually have members all over the world! So in the future at least you know you have people nearby to help.
