Found Pigeon who can't fly

Good afternoon,

Weve found a pigeon on our driveway that can't fly. Wings are not dragging and he is eating and drinking. He can't fly. He flaps but doesn't get anywhere. We put out some food and water in the front of our garage an he is eating and drinking and then remians there suning himself all day. Last night we did see him on the roof (at dusk) and then he dissapeared. This morning he was on the driveway sitting looking at our garage where we have been feeding and watering him. His neck perks up when he see's us and he can move it normally. He is still there now (around 5:10) and he looks cold and he is putting his head down into his neck (looks like for warmth). In the Durham Ontario area - any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

If the bird was on the roof, then apparently it CAN fly some. Is it a feral pigeon or does it have a band?
You need to catch it if you can and then go from there. If you can't catch it, there's not much that you or anyone can do.

Well....if he comes to feed and you are concerned about his health, keep feeding him and giving him water. one of 2 things will happen...he will either become stronger in which case you helped him out....or....if he is ill he will become weaker, in which case he may well be drawn to you by a free meal and you can perhaps catch him if he weakens to the point where he cannot fly....

it's very hard to catch a sick or injured pigeon if they are still flight-capable...

just keep an eye out and keep us posted of anything....

and thank you for caring and being concerned.....
