Help!

Hi, i've been incubating a 2 and 1/2 weeks old pigeon egg and when i woke up this morning a found it had Grey blodges on both ends of the egg! i need someone to tell me what it is! my mum said it could be water stains because the baby drowned but i hope not! if anyone knows what these blodges are please reply quickly and fast! If your going to say it probably has died, i won't want to see it! i've been looking forward to this my whole life, i dont want it to reck my dreams! please someone help!!!!!!Also the baby was pushing its back against the air cell the other day and i know thats what they do before they make the internal pip, but these blodges arn't normal and my friend Vasp has been working and caring with eggs and pigeons for years and she dosn't recognise the blodges! Ps: Here is a photo of the egg, look carefuly at the front of the egg, you should see a dark circle. (Btw its on my bed hehe don't blame me for the bear i'm only 13 )

Whoa, take it easy...I still think it might just be the bird itself or it could be contests in the egg, like fluid drying up. the lines/blotches could also be blood vessels.

The photos are pretty fuzzy and though I see a darkened area, it's not in focus and it's hard to make out. If the egg is really blotchy looking, it usually means the chick has died. If you hold the egg to your ear and tap the shell very lightly do you hear the chick pecking? Pigeons eggs normally hatch within 16-18 days, so if the chick is alive it should be ready to hatch.

How have you incubated the egg--do you have an incubator or are you using some other type of set-up?

It's difficult to feed a chick from day one. What are you planning on feeding it if it's viable? Where did you get this egg?

If the baby hatches and you need help with feeding, I can talk you through it. I've raised several from the just hatched stage. Each time the baby turned out just fine.
