Is there any way that you can take and post a picture? Can you describe the noise? Can you get a box, line it with some old rags or towel and bring the bird inside?

Oh, I just read through your previous posts and see that you're in India. Also that you have a couple of pigeons of your own. Well, in that case, at least you've got some seed that you can feed this new bird and you should see if he'll drink some water, too. You should enforce quarantine procedures for him to protect your other birds in case he's sick with something although he could just be hurt.

1. Does it have fuzzy feathers that stick out from its normal feathers? either yellow or brown.
2. Does it have a defined whitish part at the base of its noise like an adult pigeon would? 3. have you been looking after it , or is it still outside? 4. have you been feeding it/ seen it eat? 5. can you provide a photo? If it is still outside, definitely bring it in and put it in a box, and keep it warm, and spread some seed on the ground for it. Dip its beak in tepid water up to the nostrils , and see if it drinks. You can keep it warm by filling water bottles with hot water and putting them under a towel for it. Change them every few hours. If it hasn't eaten for a few days, and won't eat, or if it is a baby, then you can feed it defrosted peas and corn. Open its beak and pop them down and push them to the back of the throat. It is very important that you make it warm before you feed it, and make the food slightly warm too (you can soak the peas in boiling water from the kettle until they're warm, and then drain them. |

Please bring the pigeon inside. You can follow these instructions for what to do after that: http://www.pigeons.biz/forums/showthread.php?t=11265
Nikku-chan's advice is also very good to follow! Sabina |
