injured pigeon in downtown SF -- rescue, anyone?I found a pigeon in the street in downtown San Francisco yesterday. It had been hit and was bleeding on the underside, though not too heavily. It can't walk but its wings seem okay. I moved it from the street into the nearby bus terminal so it could be relatively isolated and warm. Not sure if it's still there, but I am hoping someone will come and save it...if anyone is able to help please email me at scancion@hotmail.com. Thanks!

Welcome to Pigeon-Talk and thank you for wanting to help this bird. You need to go and get this bird and get back to us. There are so few resources that we can't find someone to go on an "if it might be there". You need to go and get this bird and then get back to us. We will get you and the bird the help that you need.

Please do go and get the bird. There is a veterinarian clinic that will take the bird, no charge to you.

I don't know that this person is checking back here for responses. I e-mailed them and told them to box the pigeon if they can, and if nothing else, to let me know and I will meet them to take it if no one else in SF can.
