Lost bird in Kansas CityWhile mowing the lawn on Sunday my husband noticed a white bird hanging around the front yard. It stayed there all day. It will fly away if it gets scared or you get too close. It seems to be eating stuff from the ground/street. We've been giving it water. It has a green band on one leg & a blue band on the other. It seems like it's in good shape, flies with no visible problems. We are guessing it's just lost. Is there anyone to contact in the Kansas City, Missouri area that can wrangle him?
Thanks, ~Kristi~ |

Welcome to the forum and thank you for trying to help this pigeon.
This is a link to setting up a box to catch it. Once you have it, let us know and we'll try to help you locate the owner and also how to care for it until you do. I doubt it will survive on its own in the wild. http://www.racingbirds.com/ptrap.html
