My Fantail Needs A Wife!!!

I have the most beautiful pigeon in the world ( I might be a bit prejudice!), and I think he's lonely. He has a strong drive to procreate, and even tried to hatch a batch of orphaned quail eggs on his own (unfortunately, no quails arrived). I think he'd be thrilled if I could locate a Mrs. for him. He's a Thai Fantail--all white, with feathered feet. No idea on his age. He's very tame and lives in my bedroom where he has free reign. If you have, or know of anyone who has, a pigeon that needs a very loving home that might want to take up residence and make pretty babies with an awesomely handsome bird, please let me know!

Hi Jonibird and welcome to Pigeon-Talk! You should probably also post this in the Adoption Forum and the Birds Wanted / For Sale Forum.

We often have pigeons in need of a good home. Would you be willing to adopt another type of pigeon if one is needing a home in your area? Most of those needing homes are racing pigeons, rollers, or ferals.

Thanks for the Reply!

Yes, I'd be willing to adopt other birds as well. Will 2 male pigeons generally get along?

It's not likely that two male pigeons would be happy together though it's not unheard of. Two females or male and female is a much surer bet.

Depends on how big your room is!! No, really, your best bet would be to find a female.
I've got a bird that I've inquired about. It's in Northbrook, IL. Is that close to you?
I'm trying to find out if it's a male or female or does that guy that has it even know. It was a 911 Pigeon Alert rescue, so I'm not sure the man the has it even knows the sex.
