My young pigeon is sickHi, I have a 3 month old white pigeon who is the product of a mother and her son. He had a splay leg that I partially corrected. He is a little guy. He walks with a bad limp, but was loving flying. I supervise him when he is out and he was just always ready to leap out of the cage and fly. Yesterday I noticed he didn't want to come out and he seemed like he was sleepy. I live in Phoenix and it is like 112 here, so I thought it might be the heat. last night I noticed his one eye was red around the eye and it was weaping and had some whitish exudate coming from it. I took him out and irrigated the eye with an eye wash. It looked like maybe another bird pecked his eye? He is very lethargic and isn't eating or drinking. He is just sleeping and puffy. My vet can't see me until tomorrow at 3 PM. It seems like more than an eye thing now. His mouth and throat are clear. He is having some droppings, but not much at all. He still gets aggitated if I try to grab him. I have some injectable Baytril 22.7 mg/cc and some Diclazuril 5 mg tabs and some Fishzole tabs, but I don't want to just give him anything unless you think I should. I don't know what to do. Maybe he is just a weak little guy, but he was flying so great. Help! Thanks, Carol.

Well, that's not something to be trifled with so you'd probably better start him on something just in case. Those things can go so sour so fast it's not funny. Out of the list you've provided, I'd give the Baytril and the Fishzole. Do you know how to dose those?
