new neighbours!hello, i noticed a couple eggs in a planter on my balcony today, i'm not sure how long they have been there as i don't use my balcony often. i did hear a few pigeon love making sessions going on out there about a month ago
i plan on leaving them alone as mum and dad are doing a fine job caring for the eggs, it's great to have the opportunity to observe. i was doing some pigeon research online today, i just wish i had a camera... |

Hello and welcome to Pigeon Talk,
Thank you for accomodating the couple and their eggs. You are lucky they decided to nest on your porch, what a treasure. Is it possible for you to put out a small bowl of wild bird seed and some water for them? It will make life a lot easier for them during this stressful time in their lives, and allow the babies to do well.. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Thank you for sharing the good news. |

Hi,
They are quite fascinating, these pigeons. I have a pair who have been living on my balcony for close to 2 1/2 years now. They have had a few eggs hatch, but mostly I swap them for plastic ones soon as they are laid, to avoid the whole apartment block getting overrun with 'my' pigeons ![]() Hope you'll soon see the little yellow fuzzballs John
