please help!!two at eacheodays ago my adult pigeons papito and ambar(now called jenna, which means little bird) flew away and didn't come back till to day, and so i put them back in their cage with cry baby and angel,(the little pigeons). just a few minutes ago we went up to check on them b4 we go to bed, and the 2 older pigeons were sitting on their perch, and they were cooing and pecking each other, so i petted the female, then i went to pet papito, AND HE BIT ME!!!! he has NEVER bitten any 1 b4 he is ussually very sweet and gentle. what's going on?(he also pecked at the baby, and any thing that went by him.)

Hi there,
Papito is just being a male pigeon or any pigeon in fact that is protecting their perch and roost. Normally very friendly pigeons will bite and wing slap at us and other birds when we invade their most sacred of places.....their sleeping area Nothing too much to worry about though![]() |

thank you, i was worried that he might of caught some weird disease that was making him act that way.

Did you say bedtime? If it was dark, he may not have recognized you and thought you were a predator or something.
