Roller Pigeon showed up at church. needs a home

About two months ago a big bird showed up at our church where my husband is pastor. He thought he was hurt but we have since realized it is a roller p. He is so sweet but we are going to have to find it a new home as some of the church members do not want him there. We have tried to get him to go into a large and a small carrier but so far he is too smart. I was hoping someone could help us with this situation. Thanks.

Here's a place for you to start. Roller pigeons don't have a homing instinct and get easily lost. I think it's quite appropriate this one came to a house of God for help.
I have some names and numbers for Georgia Pigeons clubs. Give them a call and maybe they have some one that can assist you or direct you to someone close by.
Thank you for your kindness toward this little lost pigeon.

Palmetto State Pigeon club, Thomas S. Timmons, 567 Clifton Rd., Sumter, SC 29153 (803) 481-7487

Carolina Pigeon Club, Larry Pridmore, 2603 Knighton Chapel Rd., Fountain Inn, SC 29644, (864) 876-2543

Thank you for the speedy research job, Charis. Teri, please let us know if you can find someone to pick up the roller. I'd help myself, but I'm too far away.
