Tom is on his ownHi Everyone
Well, today was the day. Tom was looking healthy and eager to fly. His left wing feathers were fully regrown. He had been flying in place in his cage for a few weeks already and was looking in control and strong. It was a bright sunny day. I know, you guys said I should test flight him first....but he just seemed so confident and ready. We left his door open, took him about 10 minutes to decide to check it out, he hopped down to the ground, did a few test flutters, picked at the grass for a few minutes, flew up to the roof peak, sat there watching us for 5 minutes then flew off to the south. It was so exciting to see him lift off and take off. I swear he was smiling. Thank you all for your support during this rehab project, I and Tom really appreciated all of your advice. Namaste Annette |

Thank you for all your time and effort rehabbing Tom.
I'm sure it was quite rewarding watching him take off and excited to regain his freedom. Keep an eye out incase he comes back for a meal or a drink, he may come and visit. We appreciate the update. |

ThanksThanks Trees
We left his cage right where it belongs, open and stocked with fresh water and seed. So far he has not returned. We'll leave it out for a week just in case. But something tells me he's long gone. Annette |

I bet he flew off to find his mate.
I am sure he will be back for a meal and water and don't be surprised if he brings his mate with him. My Andrew did it. You did a great job rehabing him. Thank you. Reti |
