Where to release??Hello all!
The pigeon I rescued from my parking deck at work (in Little Rock, AR) is doing quite well. I believe he is ready for release, but I wanted to wait until all the fireworks and commotion from the 4th had settled down. My question is where should I release him? Back where I found him in very urban setting, at my home which is in a somewhat rural area, or inside the town I am close to, which is not Little Rock but it has lots of buildings and other pigeons around. I got him this far and I want to release him in the best enviroment (that I can provide) that he can survive and flourish in. Tonya |

Hi Tonya,
I am glad the bird is doing so well and can be released. Best is to release him where other pigeons are and in the morning. I don't remember your story with this bird, sorry, was it a baby when found or an adult? If he was a baby you will need to do a soft release. Reti |

Release him after he has eaten and had his drink of water so his instinct wont be to home in. Also release him where there are other pigeons as in a flock he will have a higher chance of survival from preadator attacks and he wont be lonely
