Hi Phil,
What I find more problematic than our "big business" angle is the fact that the farmers in China were being encouraged for almost a decade to give their chickens a human anti-viral drug on a flock treatment basis. Yahhhhhh...probable resistance gained in the chickens from the 'farmers' useing the people-meds, is a consideration, certainly... This is scarey in so many ways... Part of what scares me the most, maybe what does scare me the most...is that 'monsanto', and those in governmets whom they may bribe, are wishing to completely exterminate various Animal and Plant species, and to make posessing them illegal, then, to supply their own Genitcally modified species, under license, for yearly fees, instead. The various subterfuges, pretexts, shenannagans, and all around deciet going on with these business-gentic-ambitions of monsanto and of course of their henchmen and bought politicians in many nations...are about the most vile thing ever attempted in the whole of history I think... If 'monsanto' gets their way, all domesticated animals and all domesticated plants will be destroyed and become illegal, and, only 'monsanto' genetically modified versions will be permitted, you know, 'for our own good' and so on... There are already countries in which it is illegal for Farmers to keep, buy, sell, trade, or have in any way, their own Seeds from last years Crops, for planting next year...as Farmers have always done. Instead, they are forced under penaltys of law, fines, siesure and so on, to every year, buy 'monsanto' Seeds, instead... This...is entirely vile...
