http://www.pigeons.biz/forums/showthread.php?t=25023 The idea is just advocate your own way...if you have a local club or group that can put together some activity or other, and please let the NYBC know about any such plans, they'd love to post news about it in their newsletter. There is a group here that is planning a memorial of sorts, at a veteran's memorial in a local park. They are going to do a ceremonial release..should be neat and hopefully will get some blurb on TV news.  I read somewhere that in England there might be some folks trying to coordinate a National Pigeon Day but it's on the 15th or 16th of May.
