National Pigeon Show

Anyone within a few hours drive, may want to consider attending one of the largest pigeon shows in the United States. The show is a three day event and is being held right in the middle of Pa. Dutch Country.

The show is being held in Lancaster, Pa. JAN 13-15, at the Lancaster Host Resort & Conference Center 2300 Lincoln Highway East (Route 30) Phone 717-299-5500 for hotel information.

Hi I am new here. I would like to know how to find out about pigeon shows in Southern California. I live in Los Angeles California. I been reading about racing pigeons for the last 6 months and might consider building a loft and start with a few pairs. I hope to one day get into racing. thanks.

Welcome to this site. I suggest you contact the AU in order to find a local club and some fanciers. They could give you the buzz, on what is happening locally.
At the bottom of the attached link, there is a button you can push, which says "Find a club", this will be the fatest way to open some dooors locally.

The next large National Pigeon Association Show will be held in San Bernardino, California on January 12th - 14th of 2006. The last Grand National Show held there that I attended had over 7,000 pigeons shown.

I made it to the Grand National in Lancaster, Pa. and all I can say, it was out of this world. Must have been 7,000 pigeons on display, of every size, shape, color imaginable !!

If you have a chance to go to one, make a day of it.

Pete is right, there are quite a few members now from Canada, welcome aboard! As to your question, the last pigeon show I recall hearing about was in Brampton I think. The shows are always held in January which is after the moult and before the breeding season. Let me do some checking and I'll try to find out when and where exactly the next show will be held.

I would be interested to know of any shows in Ontario. I have relatives in Toronto and throughout Ontario. I could combine visiting pigeon shows and visiting my relatives. I will be coming up to a family reunion in July.

As far as I know, there are pigeon shows here, but they are held in January. Try contacting the Canadian Pigeon Union or the Canadian Pigeon Fanciers Association.

Well, I live in Ottawa but would travel anywhere in Ontario for a pigeon show.

If anyone finds any please let me know!

I want to have a pet pigeon, but would prefer to adopt a needy one... but if not, I would definitely buy one. Russian tumblers and parlor rollers are crazy, they're so neat!!! Anyone else buy the fancy pigeons calender this year?
