He can't take the piggies with him because the Council accomodation he has been offered probably will not allow pigeons.
As he has mobility problems and needs special requirement housing ,the council accomodation will be sheltered. It is very sad really because alot of people who have to move into sheltered or some types of council housing are expected to give up their pets. It would be wonderful if someone here in the UK could take his piggies. I feel so sorry for this man-the piggies are probably his whole life and that is why he wont desert them. Hopefully after this newspaper report, someone will come forward and offer a home for his piggies. No way will the Local Council rehouse him with his piggies. I know this because I have had a similar experience and had to give up my dog. A friend of mine also had a fish tank in her housing association flat, and the association said she had to get rid of it because of the 'No Pets allowed' policy. They said they couldn't make any exceptions. |

Such a shame...
If I had a big old House and Yard somewhere around there, I'd invite him to just live there with me and my family, pull his share for sundry chores, and bring his Birds... Seems like a nice fellow... Phil Las Vegas |

Maybe Someone From This Site Can Call The News Place That Aired This. It Could help Found the Pigeons A Home If They know where the Birds Were Like A Address. Plus A little media Can Go Along Way to Help people Understand the Love out There For All Animals. Even pigeons.

He is probably worried that where ever he moves even if they found a place that could accomodate him and the pigeons, the pigeons will return to the spot they are living now. He would have to keep all of those pigeons locked up awhile where ever he moves.
Best of luck to him...I know that we all can relate. |
