Pigeon petition to British Prime Minister!

Hi there,

The Downing Street website carries a petition calling on the Government to ban pigeon feeding across the country. It has --- six signatures!

Well today I had a petition accepted to the Downing Street site calling on the Government to reject plans to ban pigeon feeding.

We can do better than six signatures, can't we?

Please sign it now!! Visit http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/pigeon-feeding/

UK residents only I'm afraid.

You must be a British citizen or resident to sign the petition.
I read this on the petition.

I signed but although my signature was accepted it hasn't appeared yet. 23 signatures listed so far.

I have a few friends who live in London and do raise pigeons. They can understand the ban for it, but not to private owners. Seems that some organizations want to ban all feedings of pigeons...

Wish I could sign too. I loved the pigeons in Trafalgar Square and hate the new bans. Maybe all of us who are citizens of other countries can just write and say we are banning travel to England. Nothing makes changes like the threat of less money.

Just emailed the Prime Minister to tell him I will not be visiting England in the future because of this issue. May not do any good but it was the only way I could help your petition and the pigeons.

121! The message is spreading fast!
Would names still be counted it they were from the same household?

Why was the petition limited to only residents of the UK? Wouldn't it have been a more powerful message if the powers that be realized that this issue is being watched by a lot of people all over the world?

139 and counting - very impressive!

The initial target was 200 - simply because one it hit that, Dowing Street classes it as a "serious" petition" and either the Prime Minister or another relevant Minster is required to give us an official response. But of course the more the better!!

EXCELLENT idea - thanks!!

Those are the rules laid down by the British Civil Service, who administer the site. I agree it would be better if anyone was allowed to sign; it's a pain.

Only if they sign using DIFFERENT email addresses.

Thanks all - fantastic start!!

Petition

Is there any age restriction on who signs. My 15 year old daughter wishes to sign, is that ok?

Aim for 1000. You can pull it off.
