Slowly, the admission of 'Feathers' now is back to......160,000,000 years...
Little Article on some new finds in China - http://www.livescience.com/animalwor..._old_dino.html ...what is a 'Bird' really? Flight itself of course is an attribute, but also known to occur in other familys of Creatures of course...but moreso, the skelitan, form and structure of the Bones, Skulls, Legs...and, Feathers... Non flying Birds of course, such as the Ostrich, Emu, Kiwi and others, do not appear to have flown in many many millions of Years... Other ancient aquatic-swimming Birds had eschewed 'Wings' altogether, or, at least as much as say, 'Snakes' have eschewed 'Legs' anyway, yet...are considered to have been Birds... Were the Coelurosaurs and their close kin, 'Birds'? - or, getting ready to 'be' Birds? Or are Birds, as we know them, Coelurosaurs who 'later', elected to modify their form, and to diminish their size, to permit flight? Anyway... Interesting stuff...
