Then there was the confused chimp at the zoo. He was reading the Bible and Darwin's Origin of the Species. Couldn't figure out if he was his brother's keeper or his keeper's brother.

Hi Renee,

Thank you for posting this link. I think I remember the person who posted about that lost pigeon actually, not too long ago either. Good to see this posted in the racing pigeon forum and a little honourable mention to our site here

Yes, I do believe that not all fanciers are bad, that many do want their birds back if they have the opportunity. There are good and bad people in all walks of life and that includes the pigeon community. Some are not very interested in the birds themselves but only prestige and prizes. But there are lots of others who truly love the pigeons for the wonderful birds that they are and with no strings.

Thanks again for reminding us all that there are good pigeon fanciers out there who do really love their birds

Hi Renee,

Thanks for sharing a better side of racers and their concern & response for their lost pigeons.

I'm delighted the pigeon found a rehabber, of all people, who helped him find his way home, and locating the owner, on our very own, Pigeon Talk.

Glad to see how much the owner loved that bird!

This is a great story. I believe it happened last spring. There was pretty good coverage in print and on tv about this. She does rehab birds from what I understand.
