Betti's present!

My Betti did it again -this time fo real she laid us two eggs in a basket on my bed's headboard. I am a "dad" I am a "dad" (Betti says I am her mate) it is so fun to be in her life. She was a bit exsaperated with me about the stick thing, where I was suppose to bring her sticks. So she started hunting them around the house, (yes I leave twigs laying about) nagging me into nest building. We finally worked out a deal, I pick up a twig offer it to her, she flys it back to the nest (if she likes it) and then flys back to the counter to wait for me to bring her another. I make sure they are lavendar and dried mint twings, so the nest has a good scent!

Oh, that is just too sweet!
What a proud Momma she is - the photo of her in the basket is priceless
Congrats on being a "dad!"

Betti is a beauty of a girl. And what lovely eggs. All shiney and fresh. What fun it must be to be giving her the twigs and helping build her nest. I love the idea of the herbs for the nest. Great picture.

I go back to work on Monday so I am concerned about how she will adjust to the schedule of me not being there to put my hand on the eggs so she can go to eat and so on....I hate to take away her eggs, she is so proud of them. What is the best idea, let her keep them or remove them, I know they are not fertile.

Hi BB,

Oh, let her keep them...and just do what you can when you are there.

She will have her shift while you are at Work...

Really, you could see if anyone near by has a fertile Egg you could slip in, she'd probably find great satisfaction raising a Baby.
