Coco Pebbles the House Pigeon...picsWell Coco Pebbles has started showing an interest in investigating the house. She still hasn't taken her first flight but she has learned how to jump from the floor up onto my recliner...er um...her recliner,lol. My sister, who is also a major bird person, calls CP my pigeon-dog,lol. CP walks around the house but she makes sure I'm in site and if she gets too far she will run back to me and start all over again. One of her favorite places to be is on my lap.
Here Coco Pebbles decided to sit under the dining room table, that is right next to my desk. Excuse the messy floor.  Then she decided to sit at my feet under my desk. I'm gonna need to do some pigeon proofing under there, this pic also made me realize my computer is in need of a vacuum,lol.  CP liked the spot so much that she got served a snack under the desk. It's Beak Appetit that I feed my cockatiels and budgies. CP ate it but kept shaking her head after each bite and giving the food a strange look,lol. I think the texture was surprising to her,lol.

What a gorgeous little pigeon! She must be having a wonderful time following you around. I'm looking after a little feral at the moment and I wish I could give her the run of the house - unfortunately I think my three dogs would enjoy her company for all the wrong reasons...

Nice to see her exploring her environment, looks like she is doing very well, thanks for sharing. Hope everything is "pigeonproofed."

Oh Mom, exploring the house is so much fun!!. Just wait until I can fly!!!! You better make sure your step ladder is well greased and ready to go. You'll be making retrievals from every high spot in the place. Oh well......it's good exercise for us humans.
