Ear plugs!!I've noticed with Mrs. Bird that she loves to sit on my shoulder and then, when I least expect it, dig her beak into my ear. Ouch! It's starting to hurt.
So I have a few tips.....if I have my hair down she doesn't do it but will preen my hair instead. For those of you with short or no hair, kleenex works well but ear plugs are the best. You can just use one in the ear they sit next to. Just a thought before we're all deaf from our pet pijies. ![]()

when sophie is in the mood to attack my ears from the shoulder-sitting vantage point, my only defense is to wear my bose earphones and listen to music. it's funny how loud her pecking on the earphones is, but at least my ears remain (relatively) unscathed.
