Wink

Elvis impersonator

My Betti did the oddest-funniest thing yesterday. He is wearing PG Wear that sports a bell (so I can find him in the house easier). He had been wearing this for days, in total comfort with it. I noticed he had discovered the fish tank and sat for an hour or so just staring in the waters, alternating from sitting quietly, to walking back and forth in a pigeon stroll in front of it. All the sudden I noticed his bell jingling madly for a short spat of time, and then stopping, then starting, then stopping. So I came around to see what he was doing- He was walking back and forth in front of the tank, stopping braces his toes on the sofa-back and waggling his body with an Elvis Presley spasms imitation with such bird intensity and complete absorption, it looked like a “fit”. He especially shook his chest. Then he would stop, leisurely step a few more paces and waggle madly again. I thought for a moment something was horribly wrong- a epilepsy fit, a stroke, an electric shock somehow! I picked him up checked everything put him back down and he shortly continued his odd behavior. Then I noticed he would cock his head and look down at his bell, when he did it. He had learned he could ring his own bell! This continued for a bit more until he tired of it- but was it ever funny. Wished I had a video cam to catch that!

With all these shanannigans (sp?) going on at your house, YOU must invest in a video camera. That bell ringing sounds hilarious!!!

I wish you had a video of it too.
How funny?!
So helpful for the spirit to have your stories.
Thank you

That is too hilarious... thought I'd better chime in "yeah, get a video camera!"

A lot of digital still cameras will film short videos, so you don't have to make a huge investment

That bell is a wonderful idea! My friends use them on their cats but it had never occured to me for a bird. Either you're very clever, or I'm really not Or maybe a bit of both...
