my newest addition

Well I was able to make it to the 08 Pageant of Pigeons on the last day about 2 hours before the end of the show. I was in such a rush to see as much as I could and make it back to Santa Barbara from San Bernadino for a hair apt I didn't get to find anyone from here to say hello to.

I spent extra time around the Modena, Old Dutch Capuchine, and Archangel sections since they were the breeds I was most interested in.

I talked to a few people and ended up meeting a breeder of ODC's that was from Auburn CA (the same little city I am from) which was 8 hours from San Bernadino... funny to go so far looking for something when it is right in front of you!

Met up with him this passed week or so ago and got an 08 ODC hen from him. Not quite show quality, she's supposed to be a Splash/Tiger but doesn't quite have the color pattern and her tail is a little long, anyway I snapped a few pictures of her today after her bath. Still deciding on a name.

The best part is Ginger and her have been getting along nicely. The ODC's seem so sweet and mellow, I think I'm falling in love and may require more...

Those ODC's do look like a pageant contestant. They look like they have fur coat on them.

congrats on your new ODC, she is so nice, This breed is on my short list for the future, and one reason is because I have heard they can be so sweet and mellow as you say, not to mention what knock outs they are!, with that combo how can you not but love them, This picture of her is just wonderful.

Hamza- yes she is a she =)

Decided to name her Libby (her feathering makes me think of Queen Elizabeth I with her Elizabethan/ruff collar)\

Thank you all for the compliments! =)
