National Pigeon Day

As I am sure most everyone here knows, today is (I believe) the first National Pigeon Day.

There is an event today in Central Park in NYC. There have also been several positive (New York Times) or more tongue-in-cheek (New York Post) articles about the event.

I think anything that raises awareness of pigeons and works toward breaking down incorrect stereotypes or assumptions is a very good thing.
