Pic of our Happy CoupleIt's been well over six months since Jerusalem got his mail order bride and I just don't know what kind of mother I've been, not showing off a single decent photo of the happy couple!
Roo's old website, http://joyfulsongtree.home.att.net is woefully outdated... not even a wedding announcement or a clue of her existance yet. Hopefully I'll do some updating this winter, but in the meantime...Here they are... Shalomé (aka Mé) is the one who's waving, and doesn't Roo look as happy as could be after a year and a half of waiting, cooing his little heart out, advertising shamelessly day after day for all the neighborhood to hear... |

Oh...I know they're not pet pigeons exactly...they're ringneck doves.
I hope that's close enough, though? |

They are beautiful! What a cute "waving" wing.
I enjoyed looking at the rest of the photos on Roo's site too. Lucky birds to have such a large porch with swings and even their own tree! I have 2 ringnecks also - they're such sweet birds. They love to entertain us with their cooing and laughing. Congratulations to the happy couple : ) |

That is now my new desktop background picture!!
What a precious pair they are. And certainly you're in the right place, as doves and pigeons are the same species, just different variations. Thanks for sharing their adorable picture.

Well I must say that the couple looks happy with each other. There a sort of content look on the dove on the far right - almost a smile playing across its face.
I think their marriage will work out well. ![]() |

Hi all ~ Thanks for your replies
Terry, we think they're beautiful, too, and they are happy for sure. Yes, mr squeaks, they both laugh, and Roo sometimes does sound like you wrote, "maniacal", especially if he's looking in the mirror . His sounds mostly like a nasal belly laugh, though, where hers is more like a warbling chuckle. I love best to hear them laughing together!Karen, yes, they do enjoy their space ( and the rest of the house now, too). Oliver and Professor Plum seem to get around quite a bit - Oliver a lot for a silky (pollen face :~) They're both adorable ! Maryjane, what an honor!!! I am going to go and tell them both right now! *goes and tells*... Roo said, "Wooh!" and they both made a nice blink. Wow. Treesa thanks for the compliment and reassurance, appreciated! Garye, they are in love...and aren't we blessed! With a mail order bride, well, ya know that was a little bit risky... I often think Roo looks as if he's smiling, too. Reti, thanks, we think they're just gorgeous too, and love 'em to pieces! Best wishes Carol |
