so i just got 2 birmingham rollersthey are old enought to eat grain, but they are just alittle to young to fly
right now they are afraid of me, and i would like to know how i can get them to trust me and be friendly. i had a pigeon about half a year ago, but when i got it was fairly old. i had him for about 4 months and he never was very friendly to me, when ever i put my hand in the loft he would bite me or run from me, and i just want to make sure that my new birds wont be the same way |

Aloha Mickd,
It just takes a little time and patience. Whenever you are around them don't make any sudden moves or loud noise, also try to handle them as much as possible. Rollers are pretty mellow birds. |

Feed them from your hand, that is the best way for them to get to know you better and become tamer.

Mickd,
Lets just say that they are not know to be agressive like some other breeds. But then again the birds like humans can have a bad day. ![]() |
