Sweet Pet Pigeon Needs a Home!This past summer, my daughter brought home a pigeon from the pet store she worked. The bird had been dropped off in a small cage with the story that the owners couldn't take care of her any longer. The store owners took her and put her out on the floor for sale with the rest of the birds. She was there quite a long time and my daughter felt sorry for her and wanted to bring her home. We initially put Pinkie in my daughters room, but she seems allergic to her. She gets all congested when the bird is housed in her bedroom. I have my mother moving in with us and need the extra room, so we are hoping to find Pinkie a loving home as a pet. If you know anyone who will take good care of her and is interested, please let me know! We are located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Pinkie is very sweet and enjoys her free time around the room for about 5 hours per day. She lands on me and wants to be petted, gently pecking my hand until I pet her. She has laid 3 batches of eggs and has only done this when she was housed in my daughters room. Here are some pictures of Pinkie!

I think we do have a member who lives in Chicago or somewhere...I can tell Pinkie is well taking care of...

Thank you all for your concern. I found Pinkie a new home with a wonderful family who have quite a few rescue pigeons and she will be well taken care of and may even get a husband!
